Scholarship Winners Give Updates

Beckett Hennessey, Karl J. Schwartz Scholarship Winner
Beckett studies at Trinity College, Hartford CT
The first semester was good, school was close to home.  Joined a few clubs.  A Temple Hip Hop club where he is involved with organizing a showcase event in March.  That club meets once a week.  Also involved in an immigrant club where they recently built a ramp for a family from Rowanda.  Thinking of a Political Science major, and a Spanish double major.  Traveling to Puerto Rico next week with the club and would like to eventually study abroad.
Daniel Sozanski, Karl J. Schwartz Scholarship Winner
Daniel is studying at Princeton University.  He thanks the Rotary Club for the scholarship. Involved in running & swimming, staying active, currently, Treasurer of the Polish society, and held events for Polish St.  Andrew's day, taking Economic classes, along with a variety of other classes.  Enjoying campus culture, a big football team,  and meeting people from all over the world,  every corner of the earth.  Did you know Albert Einstein is an alum there? 
Amelia Badzioch, Reiche Family Scholarship Winner
Amelia, Richie is studying Pre Med at Thomas Jefferson University.  The semester went fast!  Having a good time, joined the pre-med club, scientiesta club.  Would like to go to an underdeveloped country, help with medical supplies, joined a few sports clubs, like swimming.  working on campus as well as at home to pay for college.  Jefferson is a small school with around  3,500 students, a good medical school.  
 
Garret Millette, Karl J. Schwartz Scholarship Winner
Garret is a student at UConn, thank you to the Rotary Club for the scholarship.  A music education major,  part of the marching band and pep band.  Play in Hartford or Stores is part of jazz cats and meets every Sunday, jazz is his passion. Enjoying time on campus.  Plays trumpet + mellophone,  brass guy.  Wants to be High School or college music teacher.  Living at most inconvenient Towers - 20 min walk to the music building

Whit, in the paper, birthday tomorrow,  5 bucks to hear us sing to him, Giants fan, going to miss traveling to Hartford - it's been 12 years as a public servant, worthwhile cause, grateful and doing new things.  Penn state congratulations,  this was one of our better rotary meetings,  contact us if you have questions,
