This morning we enjoyed breakfast with the Bristol Central High School Interact Club
John started off the meeting after everyone chatted and ate. Together we recited the Pledge of Allegiance and 4-Way Test - The thought of the day was Pooh-themed.
Interact presidents Lisette, Samara + Grace shared activities the club has accomplished since August. The 130-member club is currently shopping for two families they have "adopted for the holiday season", providing clothes, kitchen items, toys, and food.
The club was busy this fall helping out with the 5K color dash, helping with the Alzheimers Walk, and also helping with our Mum A thon.
A popular monthly volunteer activity is helping serve dinner at the senior center.
Congratulations on BCHS raising over 54K for Make a Wish over the last 20 years
This year the club raised over two thousand dollars during their Powder Puff Make a Wish Fundraiser. There is still time to donate:
Couldn't make it to the games but you really do want to donate to CT kids with life-threatening illnesses? No cash?? No problem!!
BCHS has an online donation site with Make A Wish CT:
Venmo, Paypal, Apple Pay and your credit card are all accepted (using the link above or the QR code below)!!
Looking for some Holiday FUN - Check out these local events...
Next Monday, December 16th, at 12:15 PM is our Holiday Lunch at the Pond House Cafe. Once again, the Hall High School Madrigal singers will perform. This is a wonderful holiday tradition in our club and we invite you and your guests to attend.
If you are a Club member, this will be included in your meal plan. However, guests and our “Rule of 85” members will be requested to help out with a $22.00 per person charge.
Everyone is asked to register so that we have an accurate number for the Pond House.
