Joyful Claudette Shares about her life...
Lee + Claudette 11/29/19
Claudette moved over 600 miles to live in the States
Claudette shares stories of her past + how she met Lee
Claudette grew up in Edmonton, New Brunswick at age 14 took 3 years to learn the language.  My favorite subject is English.  Claudette was married for 32 years and has 2 children and 5 grandchildren.  Son is currently living in the Philippines,  daughter lives nearby.
In 1993, my family took a trip to Washington DC, it was then they decided to become citizens and receive a public education.  After the divorce, met Lee.  Met Lee while working at Stop & Shop, on register 21.  Lee and his wife went thru the line, his wife was beautiful.  After Lee's wife passed away from cancer he would come to shop every day.   With a little help from fellow employees and Janet Williamson, Lee got up the courage to ask Clautte out for her Birthday.  They went to La Trattoria in Canton.  They helped each other through their grief, Lee losing his late Joan in February and Claudette losing her parents around the same time.  On
August 19th they went out for Lee's birthday dinner.
Claudette shared that she almost did not finish school but Mr. Hudson at  West woods school helped her skip 8th grade and fast-tracked to high school. Claudette is currently working as a CNA, she loves seniors and feels they don't get the help that they need.  When asked why she joined Rotary, she shared that she always wanted to get involved in something and make a difference.  Lee has brought so many lights to her life.  We thanked Claudette for sharing this beautiful love story.  Claudette thanks God for her good life, prayers have been answered.
